Software Engineer – Java & AWS
Location: London, UK
Contract Duration: 6 months

This is a *London* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on *support compliance, risk monitoring, and partner onboarding*.

The Role

Role Overview
The client is looking for a Software Engineer with strong Java and AWS experience. You’ll work on scalable services that support compliance, risk monitoring, and partner onboarding. The role involves both independent work and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable backend systems

• Own microservices and ensure their performance

• Improve tools and reporting for compliance teams

• Solve issues quickly and prioritize based on impact

• Promote best coding practices

Skills Required:

• 3+ years of backend development experience

• Strong Java skills (required)

• Experience with microservices (required)

• Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, Hadoop, Cassandra

• Solid testing (unit, integration, end-to-end)

• Bonus: Experience in compliance, FinTech, or security
