Program Manager - Transformation of P2P Workstream - Netherlands
The organization is currently on a Finance Transformation journey to support long-term strategic goals and enable sustainable business growth. As part of this initiative, the Finance team is re-evaluating how to best equip itself to meet future demands and deliver value across the enterprise.
The Finance Transformation Manager will be a key contributor within the Finance Transformation Program, working closely with functional leadership to shape the future state of the Finance organization. The role involves applying expertise in Finance Operating Model design and implementation, specifically tailored to the company’s evolving needs.
The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the functional transformation roadmap, with a strong focus on Procure-to-Pay (P2P), including process redesign, automation, and collaboration with external providers. This is a hands-on role requiring ownership, structured delivery, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Transformation Planning & Governance
Coordinate the end-to-end Finance Transformation activities for the P2P workstream.
Own the plan for the functional Finance transformation, ensuring alignment with the broader program roadmap.
Prepare leadership meeting materials and progress updates.
Identify and manage risks, track issues, and ensure consistent reporting to the overall transformation program team.
Oversee the implementation of process and technology improvements, including automation.
Operating Model Design
Facilitate and support design and planning sessions for the future state Finance Operating Model.
Document detailed process and service design elements.
Create structured deliverables as defined in the program plan.
Interpret data and provide insights to support design decisions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, including:
Global Process Owners
Functional Finance Leads
HR, Communications, and Change Management
Program Management Office (PMO)
Ensure alignment and integration across workstreams and with upstream/downstream functions.
Project & Change Delivery
Support automation initiatives and the transition to new ways of working.
Coordinate across internal and external teams for day-to-day implementation activities.
Develop detailed plans for knowledge transfer and training, working with subject matter experts.
Ensure effective tracking of technology enablers (e.g., workflows, access rights, standardization).
Collaborate on the design and delivery of change management and communications.
Examples of Deliverables
Functional transformation project and automation plans
Service Delivery Model and detailed process placement (including RACI documentation)
Inventory and tracking of enabling tasks (e.g., access provisioning)
Change Impact Assessments and implementation readiness tools
KPI and performance management tracking frameworks
Stage gate decision materials (e.g., readiness checklists, communication plans, governance setup)
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Education
Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline
Experience
8+ years of experience in Finance Transformation, preferably in multinational or complex organizational environments
Proven success in Finance Operating Model design and implementation
Strong knowledge of P2P processes and emerging automation tools
Experience with transition management and external provider collaboration
Special Knowledge
Strong understanding of transformation and consulting methodologies
Familiarity with finance technologies and automation in the P2P space
