Part 1 Architectural Assistant

£22,000 - £26,000 (dependent on experience)
A well-respected and long-established architecture and surveying practice in South East London is looking to welcome a motivated and enthusiastic Part 1 Architectural Assistant to their team. Known for their professional, design-conscious approach, the practice delivers a wide range of projects across the residential, education, commercial, and heritage sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Part 1 graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where creativity and attention to detail are highly valued.
Key responsibilities for this Part 1 Architectural Assistant role:
- Assist with the development of design proposals and presentation material across all RIBA stages
- Support senior team members in producing drawings, models, and visualisations using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Carry out site visits, surveys, and assist with the preparation of planning and building regulation submissions
- Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas to the team’s collaborative process
Requirements for this Part 1 Architectural Assistant role:
- A recognised undergraduate degree in Architecture (RIBA Part 1 or equivalent)
- Strong design, drawing, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with SketchUp or Revit is a plus
- A proactive attitude with excellent organisational and communication skills
- A keen interest in the technical and practical aspects of architecture
