Air Quality Consultant
Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid/Remote working options available)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
An established and well-regarded environmental consultancy based in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced Air Quality Consultant to join its growing team. The firm specialises in environmental, acoustic, and planning services across a wide range of sectors, and offers a supportive, technically driven environment with strong opportunities for progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake air quality assessments for planning applications and environmental permits
- Carry out atmospheric dispersion modelling using tools such as ADMS or AERMOD
- Prepare high-quality technical reports for clients, planning authorities, and regulators
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to support project delivery
- Contribute to business development through proposal writing and client engagement
- Assist with mentoring junior staff and reviewing technical work
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Chemistry, Geography, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in air quality consultancy or a related field
- Proficient in using dispersion modelling software (e.g. ADMS, AERMOD)
- Familiarity with UK air quality regulations and planning system
- Full UK driving licence preferred
