Commercial Account Handler (RDT483)
Location: Rossendale
Salary: up to £45,000
The overall purpose of the role is to sit within the Commercial Team and provide support on New Business and Renewals. In addition, the role will offer support to one Account Executive. This includes cross-class commercial business (Property, Liability, Package, Contractors All Risks, Motor Trade & Fleet).
Main duties and responsibilities
- Putting together new business presentation ready for distribution to an insurer panel for quotations and marketing of the presentation to the appropriate and chosen insurers.
- Communicating quotations, advising the most appropriate in terms of price and cover to meet the applicant’s needs.
- Issuing invoices and policy documents and updating client records.
- Producing and maintaining computer system diaries and chasing for outstanding information from insurers and clients.
- Maintaining an acceptable level of product knowledge by keeping up-to-date with product developments.
- Making the client aware of relevant endorsements and terms that need to be adhered to including cancellation endorsements and requirements.
- Answering any questions clients may have about their insurance policies.
- Providing a support to an Account Executive in terms of managing their client workload.
Requirements
- Good level of experience in broking with comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products and services.
- Strong written, oral, and telephone communication skills with excellent customer service commitment.
- Highly organised, proactive, and adept at problem-solving while managing multiple tasks.
- Accurate and efficient in data entry, documentation production, and information provision.
- Capable of working well under pressure and consistently meeting deadlines.
