Mid-Market Trading Underwriter-Property & Liability (RDT386)

Experienced Property & Liability Underwriter sought to join an existing team to proactively develop and profitable grow their commercial book of business. Role will suit someone who is passionate about partnering with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs.
Role:
- Accountable for day to day underwriting activities and will also be using data insight to ensure providing whole customer solutions.
- Role will include dealing end to end with brokers and customers whilst collaborating with the team to support both the lead trading underwriter and underwriting leader in delivering financials.
- There will also be opportunities to work towards underwriting licence levels as appropriate to the job grade.
- The Trading Underwriter will be responsible for own book of business and meet set targets and key performance indicators.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience within Property & Liability underwriting is essential.
- Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation.
- To take underwriting referrals and mentor/coach less experienced colleagues.
- ACII qualifications. Good knowledge of the FCA rules and other relevant regulation and legislation.
- Ability to analyse risks, communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers.
