Commercial Insurance Underwriter (Property & Liability) (RDT321)
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £40,000 £55,000 per year
Role Description:
Fast-growing MGA with multiple delegated authorities, have a new opportunity available for a Senior Commercial Underwriter with previous UK based General Commercial Insurance experience in Commercial Combined, Package, Contractors, Tradesman’s Liability and Property Owners.
As a Senior Commercial Underwriter within our team, you will support the profitable development of a range of products through own underwriting experience. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships with a panel of Brokers across the UK and identifying any new scheme or account expansion opportunities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum proven experience of 5 years in underwriting and trading in commercial product range.
- A good technical understanding of insurance underwriting principles.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to develop excellent working relationships with colleagues and brokers.
- Be a good team player, able to collaborate and work effectively with others.
- Organised and able to manage workload effectively.
- Account management experience including any analytical / account performance.
