Job Description
On behalf of our Client, a leading shipowner, and ship management company, we are looking for a Crew Account Supervisor to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains proper monthly accounting records in accounting software for his/ her vessels as per accounting procedures and manual within specific deadlines
- Issues and posts crew lumpsum invoices / lumpsum adjustments and recoverable
- Posts documents for the end of the month (payrolls, vessels cash accounts)
- Codes and posts invoices and SOA from manning agents and third-party clients
- Prepares monthly bank reconciliation statements
- Prepares and follows up monthly Vessel’s reconciliations
- Prepares and releases the Crew Home Allotments and Special Home Allotments payments and any other crewing payments to agents using payment run functionality
- Reviews, checks and ensures correct bookings and monthly closing for all the vessels under management
- Prepares and monitors of various reports as requested
- Prepares any report and accounting report as assigned by the superior
- Corresponds and communicates with the vessels / captains, manning agents and other external parties relating to crew accounting maters and payrolls
- Keeps the superior informed of any important issues that will need the head involvement
Job Requirements
- Holder of any relevant degree will be considered an advantage
- Relevant experience in similar position is required
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, communication (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and SharePoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and high sense of responsibility
- Knowledge of Navision accounting software is an advantage
