Position Summary:
The Director of Operations will oversee the daily operations of the practice, ensuring the efficient delivery of healthcare services and the achievement of organizational goals. This role will focus on optimizing operational processes, managing staff performance, and supporting strategic initiatives to drive growth and patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in optimizing an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) with the support of an expert consulting group and a strong background in operations leadership for a mid-size practice with strong affiliations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all administrative and operational functions of the practice, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and compliance.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with physicians and leadership to support strategic growth initiatives and service line expansion.
Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue cycle management.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
Lead, mentor, and develop staff to promote a high-performance culture and professional growth.
Monitor patient satisfaction metrics and implement improvements to enhance the patient experience.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline operations.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee supply chain and equipment procurement.
Coordinate with marketing and outreach teams to support patient acquisition and retention strategies.
Lead the development and optimization of the ASC in collaboration with expert consulting group.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably in an orthopedic or specialty practice.
Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and revenue cycle management.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and best practices.
Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Experience in building and optimizing an ASC in collaboration with consulting experts.
Demonstrated success in leading operations for a mid-size practice with strong affiliations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with practice growth strategies and service line development.
Familiarity with orthopedic practice operations and clinical workflows.
