Clinical Research Associate (CRA) – Oncology Trials
Location: Field-based – Cambridgeshire & East Anglia
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to join a leading global pharmaceutical company renowned for its cutting-edge oncology pipeline. In this field-based role, you will oversee and monitor the progress of clinical trials at investigator sites, ensuring they are conducted in compliance with ICH-GCP, local regulatory requirements, and the company’s SOPs.
You will be responsible for managing site relationships, ensuring patient safety, data integrity, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality oncology research across Cambridgeshire and the East Anglia region.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform all aspects of site management and monitoring activities for assigned oncology clinical trials
• Conduct qualification, initiation, monitoring and close-out visits in accordance with ICH-GCP and company procedures
• Build and maintain strong site relationships to support recruitment, compliance, and long-term collaboration
• Ensure timely collection and review of essential regulatory documentation
• Identify and resolve site issues, deviations and risks, escalating as appropriate
• Provide guidance and training to site staff on protocol requirements and best practices
• Accurately maintain clinical trial systems (CTMS, eTMF) and complete monitoring visit reports in a timely manner
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional study teams to ensure seamless trial delivery
Requirements
• Previous experience as a CRA (minimum 1–2 years), ideally within oncology
• In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Willingness to travel within Cambridgeshire and East Anglia (up to 60–70%)
• Life sciences degree or equivalent (nursing, pharmacy, biology, etc.)
• Full UK driving licence
