Job Description
This role is focused on leading a strategic Azure migration and infrastructure modernisation initiative. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Microsoft Azure tenant splits, hybrid infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 administration, with strong architectural insight and hands-on delivery capabilities.
Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesAzure Tenant Split Project (Initial Focus)
- Lead end-to-end separation of an existing Microsoft 365 tenant into two fully independent environments.
- Design and implement a full migration strategy with minimal business disruption.
- Address licensing, identity, integrations, email, security, and access concerns.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and internal standards.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to manage timelines and risk.
Post-Split Operational Management (Ongoing Duties)
- Oversee Microsoft 365 services: SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online.
- Manage Azure AD Conditional Access, MFA, Zero Trust, and identity governance (PIM, RBAC, Entra).
- Deliver day-to-day support, service tuning, and incident resolution across Azure and M365.
- Implement and maintain robust security configurations in hybrid environments.
Networking, Firewalls & On-Prem Integration
- Manage enterprise networking: routing, switching, VLANs, SD-WAN, and Azure VNets.
- Administer firewalls (Azure Firewall, FortiGate, or similar) with strong hands-on skills.
- Lead projects involving AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, ensuring hybrid sync with Azure AD.
- Support legacy system integration with secure hybrid architecture.
