Job Description

The Senior Pensions Administrator is responsible for overseeing the administration of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and provides support and guidance to junior pensions administration staff.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration of defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) pension schemes.
  • Oversee the processing of scheme events including new joiners, leavers, retirements, and transfers.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of member records and pension calculations.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to scheme members, employers, and external service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with pension legislation, regulations, and internal governance standards.
  • Prepare and review annual benefit statements and member communications.
  • Handle complex member queries, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support and assist with implementing changes to pension schemes and legislative updates.
  • Conduct audits and review data to maintain integrity and compliance.
  • Mentor, train, and guide pensions administrators, providing subject matter expertise.
  • Participate in and contribute to projects aimed at improving pension administration systems and processes.
  • Carry out additional administrative duties as assigned.
