Reporting to: Manager/Senior Manager/Location Partner
Our client has recently invested in the Isle of Man and they are looking for a number of candidates to help us grow their business. They have a vacancy for an Assistant Manager.
About the role
They seek a highly talented experienced professional to work within their existing team.
The successful candidate will assist and manage assignments such as Creditors Voluntary Liquidations, Members Voluntary Liquidations, Receiverships, and other insolvency arrangements to ensure each assignment meets all quality expectations and compliance deadlines. In this role you will apply knowledge of restructuring case management to existing and new engagements, assist in the preparation and delivery of client proposals, manage and motivate team members and provide effective performance management, develop opportunities. This role will suit someone who is ACA/ACCA qualified or working towards or holds a similar professional relevant qualification.
What will you do?
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of insolvency assignments within timeframe and budget
- Maintain work files for each case, ensuring all paperwork is kept up to date and in proper order.
- Providing assistance to Managers and Partners on specific projects as required.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders and key intermediaries.
- Supervise more junior team members and provide training when necessary.
Essential knowledge and qualifications
The role requires the following:
- Honours degree
- ACA, ACCA or similar professional qualification
- 1-2 years post qualification experience
- Willing to study for JIEB
- Prior insolvency experience in professional practice
- Strong communication skills and financial analysis
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Good report writing skills is essential
- Commercially aware
