Job title: QC Mechanical (Static and Rotating Equipment) Inspector
Location: Anbar / Akkaz Oilfield
Reports To:
QC Supervisor / QA/QC Manager
Job Objective:
Perform inspection and quality control activities on static and rotating mechanical equipment at oil & gas field sites, ensuring all installations, testing, and maintenance meet project specifications, international standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect installation and alignment of static equipment (vessels, tanks, heat exchangers) and rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines).
- Witness and verify mechanical tests such as hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, and alignment checks.
- Monitor equipment preservation, storage, and installation activities to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Review and verify calibration and testing of auxiliary systems and components.
- Prepare inspection and test reports, non-conformance reports (NCR), and maintain proper documentation.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures and inspection test plans (ITP).
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, and vendor representatives to resolve quality issues.
- Verify material certificates, vendor documents, and compliance with approved specifications.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on inspection progress and quality issues.
- Promote adherence to HSE and quality standards at all times on site.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical inspection, focusing on static and rotating equipment in oil & gas field projects.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
- Experience in reviewing drawings, method statements, and inspection test plans.
- Good understanding of QA/QC procedures and equipment inspection techniques.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with HSE requirements in oil & gas environments.
