Job title: QC Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector
Location: Anbar / Akkaz Oilfield
Reports To:
QC Supervisor / QA/QC Manager
Job Objective:
Perform inspection and quality control activities for electrical and instrumentation works at oil & gas field sites, ensuring all installations and tests comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect electrical and instrumentation installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Witness and verify electrical tests (e.g., insulation resistance, continuity, loop checks, functional tests).
- Monitor and inspect cable laying, termination, glanding, and instrument installation.
- Review and verify calibration of instruments and control devices.
- Prepare inspection and test reports, non-conformance reports (NCR), and maintain documentation records.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures and inspection test plans (ITP).
- Coordinate with construction and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and provide technical support.
- Verify material compliance with project requirements and approved vendor documentation.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on quality and inspection activities.
- Promote adherence to HSE and quality standards at all times on site.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in E&I inspection, preferably in oil & gas field projects.
- Strong knowledge of international standards and codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, ISA, API).
- Experience in reviewing drawings, method statements, and inspection test plans.
- Good understanding of QA/QC procedures and practices.
- Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with HSE requirements in oil & gas environments.
