Job title: Mechanical Supervisor
Location: Anbar / Akkaz Oilfield
Reports To:
Mechanical Lead / Construction Manager
Job Objective:
Supervise and oversee all mechanical activities at oil & gas fields to ensure that installation, maintenance, and commissioning work are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise mechanical teams during installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities on site.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate daily activities and allocate tasks to mechanical crews.
- Inspect ongoing work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Assist in planning and scheduling mechanical activities to meet project timelines.
- Identify and resolve any technical or operational issues encountered during execution.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Enforce adherence to HSE procedures and promote a strong safety culture on site.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and site documentation.
- Provide guidance and support to mechanical technicians and workers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical work, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Extensive experience in oil & gas field projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, rotating and static equipment.
- Good understanding of QA/QC and HSE practices specific to oil & gas sites.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
