Job title : Civil & Structural Supervisor
Location : Anbar / Akkaz Oilfield
Objectives
• To oversee and coordinate civil and structural construction activities on site in alignment with project specifications, schedules, and HSE standards.
·• Ensure that construction works (concrete, steel structures, foundations, etc.) are executed efficiently and safely, and meet quality requirements.
·• Act as the primary site interface between construction contractors, engineering teams, and quality assurance personnel for civil/structural scope.
·• Monitor and report on progress, resource use, and compliance with technical drawings and applicable standards.
Activities & Responsibilities
• Supervise all site civil and structural works including excavation, formwork, rebar, concreting, steel structure erection, and finishing works.
• Review construction drawings, ensure alignment with IFC drawings, and address discrepancies in coordination with engineering.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and materials availability to ensure uninterrupted work progress.
• Verify that construction works are performed in compliance with company HSE standards and procedures.
• Participate in daily coordination meetings with contractors and other discipline supervisors.
• Ensure that civil and structural works are inspected, approved, and documented in line with QA/QC requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for delivery and installation of civil/structural components.
• Maintain site records including work permits, progress reports, red-line drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and review of method statements, work procedures, and lifting plans.
• Report progress and concerns to Construction/Project Manager and support resolution of site-related technical issues.
• Support commissioning or turnover requirements related to structural and civil systems.
Qualifications & Experience Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in construction supervision within oil & gas or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural standards (ACI, ASTM, BS, etc.) and international codes.
• Familiar with construction quality control processes and project documentation requirements.
• Experience with steel structure erection and concrete works in high-safety environments.
