Duties and responsibilities
•Perform on site sampling and analysis.
•Implement operational laboratory testing programs in accordance with Company policy and professional standards.
•Ask for details on receipt of samples, oversee the analytical consequences.
•Be responsible for the preparation and planning of the work to be carried out within the work group.
•Reasonably arrange the activities to take priorities into account.
•Identify bottlenecks in the progress of testing and submits proposals for improvement.
•Perform first line maintenance & calibrates laboratory equipment/diagnoses fault on equipment.
•Has knowledge of statistics (ASTM D6299) & applies this with SQC.
•Check whether results obtained correspond to the expected values/ trends/ specifications
•Authorize analysis results in computer database (LIMS-sample manager).
•Ensure contained compliance with the laboratory quality management system
•Contribute to and maintain high HSE standards and housekeeping, both within the laboratory and during onsite testing.
•Discusses with lab supervisor & accepts non-routine work requests.
•Work effectively/efficiently at elevated work pressure.
•Liaise with the lab supervisor to coordinate maintenance, to discuss lab system improvement proposals.
Qualification & Training requirements
Bachelor Degree Diploma in Chemistry / Petroleum or equivalent.
Experience
•3 years’ experience in oilfield analytical laboratory related to Oil & Gas or Refinery Industries.
•Good understanding of and demonstrable hands-on experience in all functional aspects of Cost Engineering including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, commitment control, change control, variations, contract management, and/or claims analysis.
