Job Title: Finance Officer
Reports To: Finance Manager
Location: Basra , Iraq
Work Pattern : Daily (6/1)
Job Overview:
The Finance Officer is responsible for maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role plays a key part in budgeting, monitoring financial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor income and expenditure against budget and report variances
- Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable
- Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with financial regulations
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors
- Contribute to financial strategy and planning
- Assist in improving financial policies and procedures
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required)
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
