Job Description

Job Title: Finance Officer

Reports To: Finance Manager
Location: Basra , Iraq
Work Pattern : Daily (6/1)

Job Overview:

The Finance Officer is responsible for maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role plays a key part in budgeting, monitoring financial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
Monitor income and expenditure against budget and report variances
Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable
Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with financial regulations
Support audits and liaise with external auditors
Contribute to financial strategy and planning
Assist in improving financial policies and procedures

Requirements:

Education & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required)

Experience:

Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software
Good organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
