Job Title: Field Operator – Oil & Gas

Location: Iraq (Ratawi oil field)

Field Operator

We are seeking a highly experienced Field Operator to oversee and support daily oil and gas field operations. With over 12 years of hands-on experience in well monitoring, production systems, and surface facilities, the ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and optimal operation of production assets across the oilfield.

Responsibilities:

Inspect pipes and equipment for leakages and check for any pressure decrease. Repare the PTW and locate the test limit and affected areas, locate the isolation points, put tags and locks, compile tools, hosses and kits, finally perform the work safely and according to HSE standards.
Monitoring the parameters for the equipment’s (temperature- pressure- flowrate- liquid level- lube oil level- Mechanical seal pressure- Nitrogen purity gauges)
Wellhead and X-mass tree parameters monitoring and analyses such as wellhead pressure, flow line pressure, temperature
Well gas lifting monitoring and analyses
Water injection well monitoring and analyses
Well troubleshooting
ESP wells monitoring
Completes SAP work orders assigned to this person in a timely fashion
Lubricates, checks fluids and performs safety inspections and minor maintenance as required prior to operation of any equipment
Operate and maintain machinery and equipment according to manufacturer instructions
Perform regular inspections to identify potential problems and prevent equipment failure
Ability to read and understand diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Good communication and organizational skills
Experience working in the industry or similar role is preferred

Qualifications:

Technical institute graduates or Engineering graduates
Strong command of English and Arabic (written and spoken).
Valid certifications in IMIST, Basic Life Support & CPR, and Production Facilities Training.
Previous experience as a Field Operator or in a related field
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in outdoor environments and lift heavy equipment

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 10+ years in oil & gas operations.
Experience with CPF (Central Processing Facilities) and FSF (Field Surface Facilities).
Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and operational troubleshooting.
